Barrick set for strong gold environment

BARRICK Gold has reported a net loss of $US159 million ($A193 million) in its March quarterly after spending $US557 million exiting its gold sales contracts, which will clear the way for the gold miner to cash in on stronger spot gold prices, according to its chief executive.
