Production ramp-up to benefit PNG: Lihir

LIHIR Gold is aiming to increase throughput at its namesake mine on Lihir Island to meet its 700,000-770,000 ounce target for the year, with the company’s chief executive officer Arthur Hood saying the plant expansion will benefit the local population and Papua New Guinea.
