THE mining industry's annual pilgrimage to Kalgoorlie-Boulder is over for another year and <i>The Shaft</i> managed to survive the week relatively unscathed, though the same can't be said for <i>The Shaft's</i> car, which is now sporting a massively cracked windscreen thanks to a stone thrown up by a passing road-train.
