Porgera numbers down for 2006

BARRICK Gold expects production from its Porgera gold operation in PNG to total between 530,000oz and 550,000oz of gold for 2006, well under the average of 700,000-750,000oz per annum for the past 10 years, because of problems with the mine’s west wall.
