WEIGHTLIFTERS taking steroids can develop top-heavy bodies; an odd comment from Dryblower until you consider the mining world’s equivalent, the unbalanced shape of the world’s top two miners, BHP and Rio Tinto, with both suffering what might be called “iron-ore bloat”.

Structurally, both companies are classified for investment purposes as diversified miners, a word which means they have a mix of assets and are therefore, theoretically, better able to ride out
