More Scotia gold success for Pantoro

SCOTIA continues to look like a promising mining centre for Norseman gold project aspirant Pantoro, with a prospect called Green Lantern the latest to deliver good news from the drill bit.

Pantoro said drilling had returned a number of wide, ore grade intersections in a zone which has not been previously tested.

Mineralisation has reportedly been found over a strike length of 300m, with gold found in both a wide, lower grade lode, and higher grade zones.

Examples included 16m at 2.6 grams per tonne gold and 3m at 6.1gpt gold.

Another Scotia prospect called Lady Eleanor has also yielded mineralised intercepts.

Scotia is 25km south of Norseman and has a current resource of 2.43 million tonne grading 5.3gpt for 413,000oz.

Scotia is one of multiple areas in the Norseman region being targeted by Pantoro, which has a 50% interest in the project.

The aim is to initially establish an initial inventory of about 500,000 ounces to support a restart of operations.

The initial drill-out of these first areas is nearing completion, with resource modelling due for completion in the current quarter.

Shares in Pantoro were unchanged at 24.5c in afternoon trade, capitalising the company at $339 million.
