GOLD hopeful Alt Resources’ bid to restore production at the historic Bottle Creek project Western Australia’s Mount Ida gold belt could get an early boost with a potential tailings retreatment operation to help cover development costs for a processing plant.

The company has recently drilled 66 aircore holes into the two historical tailings dams that cover almost 22 hectares, and returned results of up to 1.28 grams per tonne gold and 18.4gpt silver, with an average of is 0.16gpt gold and 6.1gpt silver.
 
The company is now planning a more detailed drilling program to better understand the distribution of the tailings given the silver appears uniform while the the gold grades patchy. 
 
The aim is to delineate a volume that can be incorporated in the overall Bottle Creek resource.
