AURELIA Mines has had further drilling success at the high grade deposit that’s allowed it to enjoy a huge win since the acquisition of Peak Mines late last year for US$58 million.

Drill hits up-plunge of the high-grade Chronos deposit were headlined by 13m grading 8.6 grams per tonne gold, 18% lead, 12.7% zinc and 77 grams per tonne silver (or a net smelter return equivalent to A$919 per tonne), with other intercepts lower-grade but still having NSR's of between $300-$600/t. 
 
Aurelia said it plans to spend a further $1.4 million on infill drilling.
 
Aurelia said the zonation of Chronos presents an opportunity to prioritise mining of the high gold portions of the zone until the base metal capacity of the processing plant has been upgraded.
