More exploration 'smoke' for Legend and Creasy

MARK Creasy-backed Legend Mining is closing in on a market capitalisation of A$100 million after identifying a third nickel-copper-cobalt mineralised intrusive at its Rockford project in the Fraser Range of Western Australia.

Legend is joining the dots in the Fraser Range as it targets another big base metal discovery.

Aircore results from Area D included 21m grading 0.34% nickel, 0.05% copper, 0.04% cobalt from 64m (to end of hole), with Legend of the belief there are "numerous other intrusive bodies which may potentially be mineralised throughout the wider Area D region" - based on the aeromagnetic and gravity datasets.

Area D is located within a 430km long gravity trend, and lies on the margin of one of the three gravity hotspots identified - with Independence Group's Nova sitting on margin of another hotspot 120km to the southwest.

Multiple targets have been generated by aeromagnetics within a 16km by 5km feature, with an 8000m aircore campaign kicking off in May.

Multiple EM-style surveys are planned ahead of follow-up RC and diamond core drilling this year.
