The company said its deep directional coring and Strike's aircore and reverse circulation capabilities were highly complementary, allowing it to offer clients a full suite of drilling services across the resources life cycle.

Strike will retain its brand and continue to be run by its existing management team led by co-founder, CEO and managing director, Richard Bennett.

DDH1 said Strike would continue to advance its growth strategy and will provide expanded capacity and service capabilities to both companies' clients.

DDH1 managing director Murray Pollock said the two companies were committed to being the drilling contractor of choice in the Australian mining sector.
