Tough period for the base metal set but outlook features big 'green' shoots

BASE metal miners have not been getting a lot of love of late and today was no exception bar one or three cases including copper-gold-(nickel) company OZ Minerals – which released news on its West Musgrave development. Still, those in the copper space would be encouraged by the positive thematic bubbling around in the background arguing the price of the red metal has to significantly rise to incentivise the developments needed to supply the EV, battery storage, sustainable energy revolution. And there’s cases to be made for other base metals in this regard too.
