BASE metals plummeted on Friday as fears about inflation and global growth weighed heavily.

Tin slumped 8.3% to US$25,055 per tonne, the lowest since March 2021.

The metal is now down 48% since its record high of $48,865/t in March 2022.

Nickel dropped 6.8% to $22,359/t, a four-month low.
