WHILE the spectre of a potential 75 basis point interest rate hike by the US Fed wasn’t good for the gold price or associated equities, one or two the ASX gold space managed to escape the wrath of sellers. Westgold, which has suffered plenty of selling in recent months was one, gaining over 3% after reporting a strong May production performance.
