Not a golden session for the gold sector

AN UGLY session for the gold patch could arguably have been worse as bullion showed some resilience by rising from the low of US$1803 per ounce it fell to overnight to levels in the $1820s - albeit it was again on the decline as the ASX session closed. Among the few precious metal stocks being bought were miners' Pantoro, West African Resources and the imminently set-to-produce Capricorn.
