Weak market set to open week

WITH a weak lead from Wall Street on Friday, the market was set to open the final day of the September quarter listlessly, in part because of a holiday in the west, and in part due to fresh tariff concerns in the US-China trade war.

Most metals were steady, with the biggest drop being felt by lead, with the base metal off almost 1.2%, hiowever its associated zinc managed to hold its ground.
