Red metal attracts support

DESPITE a dip in the copper price in recent days there was plenty of interest in the red metal. Chile-focused Hot Chilli enjoyed an almost 14% jump after yesterday’s Productora production target forecast. Antipa Minerals was up about 5% ahead of the drillbit spinning near the exciting Winu copper discovery in Western Australia’s Paterson province, and Auking Mining’s shares jumped 100% (on average trade) despite a lack of news about how successful its search for new projects was going.
