Golden Deeps has delivered a significant update to the resource estimate for its Abenab vanadium deposit in northern Namibia, which now hosts a total 1.12 million tonnes grading 1.28% vanadium pentoxide, 3.05% lead and 1.25% zinc, and says there is potential to increase the resource by further drilling.

The company describes Abenab as the "world's richest" vanadium mine between 1921 and 1947 when 1.85Mt of ore was mined at 1.05% V2O5 to recover 102,000t of concentrate grading 18% V2O5 plus lead and zinc credits.

Metallurgical test work in 2012 achieved concentrate grades up to 21% V2O5, 15% zinc and 53% lead using simple gravity separation.
