THE majority of base metals dropped on Friday ahead of the start of the annual LME Week in London later today.

Copper and aluminium were the worst performers, each down by around 1.9%, while lead and zinc lost around 0.5% each.

Nickel was an exception, rising by 1.1% to $12,539 per tonne.
