Visible gold from Troy's Tallman prospect

Troy Resources managing director Ken Nilsson says he is pleased the company has acquired the Ohio Creek prospect, near its Karouni project in Guyana, from a group of local prospectors - having identified Ohio Creek as an exciting target four years ago.

Troy said prior to completing the acquisition, it had commenced a reconnaissance program which mapped pork-knocker (freelance Guyana prospectors or artisanal miners) and saprolite workings, and conducted sampling from the 110m-long Tallman pit which yielded results of up to 30.3gpt gold.

"All the intelligence amongst the local artisanal miners and Troy's geologists is that, of the various prospects in the region, Ohio Creek might just be the most prospective," Nilsson said.
