New Century Zinc has commissioned a 304km-long concentrate slurry pipeline, running between the Century mine site at Lawn Hill and the port facility at Karumba on the Queensland coast, ahead of planned first production next month.
 
The company aims to become a top 10, low-cost zinc producer and has been refurbishing the mine and infrastructure it purchased last year in recent months.
 
Drilling at the Goongarrie Lady gold project, 85km north of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, has delivered Intermin Resources indications of potential southern extensions 500m from the current pit design.
