Westpac economist can't find gold lining

A SENIOR economist with Westpac Bank says this year will be the worst for world economic growth since 1994 thanks to the slowdown from China and a recession in Europe, yet despite the fear in the market gold will be hard pressed to push through $US2000 an ounce.
