US stocks buoyed on retail data

OFFSHORE equities had a good run on Monday, with Wall Street boosted following the release of data pointing to a jump in US retail sales.

After a flat session on Friday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.7% to 13424.2 points and the S&P 500 firmed 0.8% to 1440.1 points.

The tech-heavy NASDAQ was 0.
