Mining capital spend continues to grow

PRIVATE new capital expenditure by the mining industry continued to trend strongly upward in the December quarter, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, with spending by the industry on buildings and structures up 5%, and on equipment, plant and machinery up 6%.
