Gold Fields could dump Norilsk

DESPERATION has taken over from deliberation as South Africa’s Gold Fields thrashes around looking for a way to defend itself against Harmony Gold’s takeover overtures, with the latest proposal being a massive share buy back to get Norilsk Nickel off the Gold Fields share register, a move which could include the sale of all non-South African gold operations.
