SOUTH Australian uranium company UraniumSA has applied for a retention licence to start an in situ recovery field trial at its Blackbush deposit early next year after financial models outlined an internal rate of return of 39% based on a $A75.8 million development.

Targeting first production by 2013, UraniumSA’s Blackbush deposit sits within its wholly owned Samphire project, located 20 kilometres south of Whyalla on the Eyre Peninsula.
