Nickel edges higher

NICKEL trading at the three-month price on the London Metals Exchange soared $US1500 to close on Friday at $29,800 per tonne, with the metal pushing above $30,000/t during the session. The price rise came despite a 4% increase in stockpiles. The bulk of nickel plays on <I>Final Call’s</I> watch list followed suit with Mincor Resources gaining 41c to close at $3.71, while Heron Resources added 7c to close at 93c.
