LME three-month copper is likely to encounter strong technical resistance at $US6800 a tonne if it rallies, with the continued rise in copper inventories making lower prices this week more probable, Triland Metals told Dow Jones. Copper was last trading at $US6675 per tonne, down from the earlier high of $6780/t and down $35 from Friday’s closing price of $6710/t.
