GOLD lost ground for a second session today after the US dollar strengthened against the Euro on the back of the downgrade in Italy’s sovereign credit rating. Gold shed 0.5% to $US1770.07 an ounce in afternoon trade. The bulk of gold stocks on the Final Call watchlist finished today’s session in the red.
