China coal mine blast leaves 36 miners dead and 122 trapped underground

UP TO 150 miners are feared dead after a gas explosion ripped through the Muchonggou coal mine in the south-western Chinese province of Guizhou, the <I>Xinhua</I> news agency reported yesterday.
