Ranger pulls out of Burkina Faso joint venture

PERTH-based gold miner Ranger Minerals has withdrawn from its Essakan joint venture with Coronation International Mining Corp in the West African nation of Burkina Faso, citing the low gold price.

Ranger, which operates the 3Mtpa Damang gold mine in neighbouring Ghana, said it advised Coronation yesterday that it has withdrawn from the joint venture, established last September by a letter of agreement....
