St Barbara (finally) gives Leonora some love

St Barbara has harboured an ambition to become a 500,000oz-a-year gold producer ever since its 2005 acquisition of Sons of Gwalia’s gold division from the receivers for the knock down price of A$2.3 million and $35.7 million in environmental bonds, writes <b>Barry FitzGerald</b>.

While it was a great pick-up, St Barbara has never got close to 500,000oz. The closest it got was 403,000oz in 2018, and its latest guidance downgrade, all these years later, has group production for 2021...
