Regis's McPhillamys project is nearing development

It is why there has been a bunch of them - those with some good news to report at any rate - which have released snapshots of their June quarter reports well ahead of the requirement to lodge full reports by the end of the month.

Regis has been one of them. It told the market earlier this week that June quarter production from its Duketon operations, north of Laverton in Western Australia, was "very strong'' at 92,008oz.

The output took Regis' 2018 FY production to an annual record of 361,373oz which was at the top end of original guidance of 335,000-365,000oz, and led to a A$40.9 million increase in cash and bullion to a quarter end record of $208.8 million.
