AFTER 30 years in the resources business, Alliance Resources managing director Steve Johnston says the results from the Weednanna propect in the Gawler Craton are “outstanding” and the best he’s ever been associated with.

Johnston’s experience extends to being involved in open cut mines in the Western Australian goldfields, and he can already see clear mining opportunities at Target 1 – a “blob” currently measuring about 90m by 45m by 40m potentially grading about 4 grams per tonne.

Another two shoots are also emerging, with Target 2 and Target 3 potentially having grades in the order of 7gpt and 10gpt respectively, while drilling of Target 4 is underway.

Alliance will be working towards a resource estimate next quarter.
