While further back in the development pipeline than other projects, Strandline said it was clear the rutile-enriched, ilmenite-dominant mineral Tajiri was an emerging large-scale project that was approaching critical mass.

Resources have increased from 59Mt at 3.7% total heavy minerals to 147Mt at 3.1%.

The contained heavy mineral content has risen to 4.6Mt from 2.2Mt, comprising mostly a high-value titanium-dominated minerals with rutile (339,000t), zircon (201,000t), ilmenite (3.13Mt), almandine garnet (322,000t).

The upgrade is the result of aircore infill and extension drilling across the priority T1-T4 targets last year.

Strandline said the 20km-long project, where the mineralisation starts near-surface, still had the potential to grow further as some o...
