THE first drilling in more than 10 years at Blister Dam has confirmed to owner Intermin Resources that the ground has potential for a “large scale new discovery”.

Intermin said drilling of nine of 21 identified targets pointed to two distinct gold mineralisation styles; strongly developed high grade quartz veins and broader lower grade shear hosted gold mineralisation

Better headline hits included 5m grading 4.12 grams per tonne gold from 46m and narrower 1m intersections elsewhere of 20gpt and 36gpt.

Intermin was particularly encouraged by indications of the potential for the sort of narrow, high grade veins found at the profitable Kundana mine to the south.

A large scale follow-up program is to be undertaken, Intermin said.

Blister Dam is 54km north of Kalgoorlie along the Zuleika Shear, and is held 100% by Intermin.
