An induced polarisation survey at Mt Short has suggested better grading mineralisation may be found in an area 700m south of where previous drilling showed the presence of massive and disseminated sulphide mineralisation.
Traka sees big potential given geological indicator such as the sedimentary rock sequence hosting the mineralisation being thought to extend over 13km.
“In a sequence of this magnitude there is significant scope for hosting volcanogenic and/or sedimentary hosted style deposits,” Traka said.
A single hole in the middle of the IP anomaly is planned to be underway in the first week of February.
