ENTREPRENEUR Alasdair Cooke is at the centre of a legal stoush with a company that owns an undeveloped copper asset.

Caravel Minerals has issued a writ of summons against Cooke and Cooke-associated firms Mitchell River Group and Hartree in relation to concerns about share trading during a recent rights issue fund raising.

Caravel said the Australian Securities and Investment Commission was also provided with details of the concerns, and “they will be conducting an assessment of the alleged misconduct”.

Last month Cooke’s request for a board seat was rejected, with a subsequent call made by Cooke for Caravel stalwart Marcel Hilmer to step aside.

Cooke, a former BHP geologist, has been involved in multiple junior ASX-listed company plays over the past 15 years or so.
