The company has acquired Elm Resources, which holds seven exploration licence applications covering 5274sq.km which make up the Arunta lithium-cobalt project.
Consideration to the vendors, which were behind the recent listing of fellow NT explorer Northern Cobalt, is A$300,000 worth of Trek shares at 3.5c per share.
Historical rock chipping over the project has returned grades of up to 1500 parts per million lithium oxide and 0.12% cobalt.
Trek said the project added battery minerals to its base metals-focused portfolio.
