JUST one day after a trio of shareholders, including former chairman Terry Grammar, lobbed a missile at the Kin Mining board, seeking the ouster of technical director David Sproule, managing director Don Harper has walked away.

In a terse statement, issued before the market opened this morning, Kin noted it had accepted the veteran mining engineer's resignation and would soon start looking for a replacement.

Pointedly, Harper was not thanked for his service over the previous 18 months.

The loss of Kin’s point man comes less than a week after Harper was on-site at the 1.3 million ounce Leonora gold project, in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields, overseeing the start of activities at the 100%-owned development, and just two weeks before the company is set to pour its first concrete.
