RTG's team successfully developed and sold the Philippines' largest gold mine at Masbate, and is now pursuing an interest in Panguna, saying it has the experience to work with locals to resurrect the massive deposit in Papua New Guinea's Bougainville province.
 
RTG CEO Justine Magee told MNN that while RTG's near-term potential development at Mabilo in the Philippines was exciting, the bulk of investor interest in the stock was clearly in the value of the Panguna option.
