MARK Creasy’s White Rivers Exploration is getting ready to unveil some numbers around its mammoth South African discovery ahead of a float before year-end.

Creasy formed WRE 10 years ago, assembling a portfolio of 10 gold projects in Free State, South Africa.

He sole-funded around A$17 million on the projects and holds 63%, with black economic empowerment partners holding 26% with a number of other small shareholders, including executive chairman Neil Warburton.

WRE's most exciting project is its 65:35 joint venture with Harmony Gold, adjacent to Harmony's operating Target underground mine.

The partners announced a JORC-compliant resource of 11.5 million ounces at 8.89 grams per tonne gold in September 2016, and WRE has quietly been working on it ever since, sole-funding a prefeasibility study.
