Marenica again points at Langer Heinrich potential

ORE from Paladin Energy’s Langer Heinrich deposit has reportedly given strong indications of being eminently suitable for a technology that could dramatically reduce operating costs.

According to the technology's owner, ASX-listed Marenica Energy, the U-pgrade beneficiation process could potentially reduce one tonne of mined ore at Langer Heinrich to just 25kg of ore for presentation to the leach plant - while increasing the grade by about 35-times.

Currently 600kg of ore goes to the leach plant for every 1t of ore mined.

Marenica said Paladin was now evaluating the potential benefit of the technology.

In a general sense, Marenica has previously promoted its technology as reducing operating costs by about 50% (and capital costs by  about the same), compared to conventional processing
