Speaking on a WA Mining Club panel yesterday, PCF Capital Group managing director Liam Twigger said the key barometer for risk in the market was initial public offerings.
"They're like a protected species in some respect," he said.
Twigger said the bottom of the market was January 2016, with 18 IPOs that year and 24 in 2017.
"This year we've come out like a bull out of the gates," he said.
There have already been six resources listings this year - averaging one a week.
Twigger said BDO's Sherif Andrawes believes his firm might do 20 IPOs this year on its own.
