Tawana joins Orocobre, Neometals, Mineral Resources, and Galaxy Resources in the production club, with the first concentrate shipment from the operation due next month.
Bald Hill is a joint venture with Singapore company Alliance Mineral Assets.
The operation is pegged to produce 155,000 tonnes per annum of spodumene concentrate (plus tantalum), with the partners having separate offtake agreements and Tawana set to receive earnings of A$83 million per annum as estimated in feasibility work.
A further three operations in Western Australia are in the hard rock lithium pipeline, with Pilbara Minerals and Altura Mining flagging first production next quarter, and Kidman Resources targeting 2019.
