The company identified a new area of interest, within its existing Yandal belt landholding, that sits to the northwest of the 335,000 ounce Julius gold deposit.
The area is around a new gold discovery recently made by Northern Star called Ramone.
Two weeks ago, Northern Star reported a surface discovery at Ramone, 35km south of its Jundee operation, with mineralisation defined over a 400m strike length.
Drilling has returned hits including hits of 14m at 8gpt, 13m at 8.5gpt and 18.5m at 6.2gpt.
