INVESTIGATOR Resources has been encouraged by the cobalt and rare earth elements potential of ground it has picked up that features the historical Cartarpo copper mine in South Australia, 20km from the old Burra mining area.

Shallow grab samples assays up to 1.78% cobalt and 1.1% rare earth elements were recorded following a recent site visit.

Investigator also reported that about six tonnes of high-grade ore reported to have been mined at Catarpo during 1867-1872 with one ore parcel estimated to grade 5% cobalt and 6% copper.

Investigator believes the ground also has potential for lithium, nickel and gold.

Further mapping and geochemical surveys are planned during the current quarter.

Most of Investigator's focus in recent years has been on the Paris silver project.
