Novo assessing options at challenging Pilbara project

NOVO Resources is considering building a pilot plant to process and assess 5-10 tonne bulk samples from conglomerate gold ground in the Pilbara as well as potentially using the Radio Hill processing infrastructure for testing larger samples measuring in the thousands of tonnes.

In a conference call update late last week hosted by Canadian financial firm Red Cloud Klondike Strike Inc, Novo president Dr Quinton Hennigh said he had already had a discussion with 50:50 joint venture partner Artemis about using Radio Hill and further discussions were planned this week.

Regarding the potential use of a pilot plant, Hennigh indicated it could be built in February and operational in March.

The future use of large diameter Bauer drill rigs is also reportedly in the company’s thinking.

However Hennigh was at pains in the conference call to point out it remains early days at the project, with the joint venture dealing with a “very, very, very unusual” geological system.
