Morgan tight-lipped on Titan nickel project

THERE are two intriguing business projects called “Titan” happening in the global business world at the moment, and while the one in Nigeria involving Hugh Morgan and nickel is dwarfed by the other, its’ emergence in 2017 will still be keenly awaited by many in the mining sector.

The unique occurrence of native nickel balls in Nigeria was unveiled by the ex-Western Mining chief to the broader public in a few months back, but since then little has been heard.

At that time Morgan’s Comet Minerals was seeking cash to progress Titan.

Speaking to MNN this week, Morgan said the company – that also features Stephen Davis and Steven Pragnell – continued to assess options of a future IPO, and was also talking to major mining companies.

He again reiterated the company’s efforts to cool expectations with regards the authorities in Nigeria, where, broadly speaking, understanding of the oil industry is high, but of the hard rock mining business, is low.
