Centaurus Metals says shallow but high-grade nickel-cobalt results from initial hand-held auger drilling over a 3km strike at its Itapitanga project in Brazil.
Results from the first nine of 23 shallow holes included 7m at 1% nickel and 0.15% cobalt; 6m at 1.28% nickel and 0.13% cobalt; and 9.5m at 1.2% nickel and 0.09% cobalt.
The best results on the Northern target showed intersections of up to 3.07% nickel and 0.20%, while seven of the holes finished in mineralisation.
The next step, the maiden RC program, will look for deeper mineralisation below 50-100m.
