Auroch Minerals has jumped on the opportunity to secure two new high-grade zinc projects in South Australia.

It said the 710sq.km Arden project (90%) north of Adelaide has the potential to host large-scale zinc, lead, copper and cobalt SEDEX-style deposits, and comes with several immediate targets for exploration in areas where sampling previously returned up to 10% zinc and 2.5% cobalt.

It was previously explored by Rio Tinto in the 1960s, however, only 200m of the 10km of strike was drill-tested by four shallow holes, and since the 1980s has been explored only for diamonds.
